Notes: | The writer spells his name 'Dunbarton'. The letter is endorsed on the back 'Ld. Dunbarton, answered 10th Aprill 90. Mem.dm. this was given me at Dublin 5th July where the committee met [?] if by M. Barry'. George Douglas, Earl of Dumbarton, was an army officer, who took military service under Louis XIV, and later was an integral member of James II's Catholic court party.
