Papers of the Joyce family of Glenosheen, Co. Limerick,

The papers and letters mainly cover personal and literary matters. There are letters and brief notes from Celtic scholars and other well known people, such as Kuno Meyer, Douglas Hyde, Count Plunkett, Erskine Childers, George Russell, Maurice Moore, George Sigerson, Brinsley MacNamara, William Smith O'Brien and A.P. Graves. Many of these notes were written to William B. Joyce on National Literary Society business. Smith O'Brien writes about his travels on the continent.

| Notes: | Many of the letters have pencilled notes identifying the writers. The Joyce family of Glenosheen had several distinguished members, most well-known being the brothers Patrick Weston, educationalist, historian, linguist, translator and collector of folk music; and Robert Dwyer, who was a medical doctor, but is best known as a writer, poet and song lyricist.
