Papers compiled by the Irish-American republican Mary Donegan, relating to conditions in Ireland during the War of Independence, the funding of the White Cross and the treatment of republican prisoners in the early years of the Irish Free State. Included are letters to Donegan, sent to her in the United States from various correspondents, her scrapbooks containing poems and newscuttings and published pamphlets and magazines. Also included are photographs of Donegan taken throughout her life. The collection also contains documentation relating to the donor, Sean Prendergast of Carlow coverning the years 1981-1999.
