Letters to Col. Wolfe of Forenaughts, Co. Kildare from politician John Foster of Collon, Co. Louth, concerning Wolfe's losing his post on the Revenue Board having voted against the Act of Union. Foster also writes of his having spoken to Pole (possibly William Pole of Dublin Castle) of Wolfe’s ‘claim’ (1809), and Wolfe's securing other official positions (1810).

Also included is a copy letter to John Foster from Sir Edward Baker Littlehales of Dublin Castle, in which Foster recommends Wolfe as a suitable person to be appointed to the board on a Commission of Enquiry, (7 Sept. 1800) and a copy of a letter from Wolfe to Foster, dated 25 Sept. 1808.
