Also included are letters to Wolfe from his relative Theobald Wolfe of Blackhall, informing him of Widow Martin who is 'Zealously Disloyal' (22 May 1799), from Samuel Neale, of Newington, providing a report of local republican activity (19 May 1802), from Thomas Rawson of Athy, outlining his concerns that the local population is armed (18 Aug. 1803) and providing information on the content of sermons preached by priests in Monasterevin and Athy (Mar. 1804) and from T. In an undated letter Neale also writes of the local population's hostility towards him, their perceived unwillinginess to work, and his reading this as a sign of 'their diabolical disposition & intention' [n.d.].
