Description:Contains correspondence with Victor Weybright and Arabel J. Porter of the 'New American Library of Word Literature’ regarding Montgomery’s essay ‘No Symbols Where None Intended’ between 1953 and 1955. Includes a carbon copy of ‘Molloy’ by Beckett that also appeared in the journal, the article ‘No Symbols Where None Intended’ torn from ‘New World Writing 5th Mentor Selection 1954’ and the 'Irish Writing Journal', no. 26, March 1965. Also includes a large amount of correspondence with various people regarding the essay between 1953 and 1972. Correspondents include Jack Sweeney, Carol Long, Martha Fehsenfeld and Gerard Keenan.
