Copies of the same studio portrait of the 'Cuba Five', five Fenian prisoners who were released under amnesty in 1871 and exiled to the United States for the duration of their sentence term. The group included Charles Underwood O'Connell, Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa, John Devoy, Henry S. Mulleda, and John McClure. They travelled to New York on board the S.S. Cuba.
