Description:Nicholson recommends removing an interpreter who is "unnecessarily insulting" and describes poor treatment including a lack of rations, a lack of socks and a fear of reporting sick in case of punishment. He recommends that rations not be reduced on Sundays and that men who are forced to work be given a daily ration of meat.
