Copy letter from Captain J. R. White to a newspaper editor regarding his recently published invitation to applicants for a Camp of Instruction in East Donegal for the Irish Volunteers,
1914 June 18.
White is postponing the proposed camp due to the level of expense associated with its formation. He has received forty applications and many other letters of enquiry and support but he feels that as his scheme was based on private payments, the poorer men of Ireland were excluded. He hopes that the Camp will be founded eventually on the responsibility of the people of Ireland rather than his own.
