Typescript letter from R. J. Cremins, Secretary to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs, to William O'Brien informing him he is returning Tom's [Thomas O'Brien's?] letters to him, mentioning that he found them extremely interesting, and also reflecting on the poeple they have lost and others that were mentioned in the letters,

1944 Nov. 28.

Cremins writes of Tom's life "I always knew that Tom was a bit of a rolling stone, but I never realised that he had the 'Wanderlust' in such extreme form. Life for him was certainly hectic and no doubt the 'high' spots more than compensated for the many moments of 'down and outness' that he must have had.".
