Patrick McCartan discusses the subscription system and how it would be run, and that this monthly should be similar to the 'Gaelic American' and work with 'Bean na hEireann' run by Miss Moloney and Constance Markievicz, stating that "a woman can flatten out a shoneen better than any man can". Tom Clarke would endorse the role of manager. Also mentions that he 'Peasant' is "more social than national", and that John Mitchell is a nationalist of "the Gaelic League literary type".
