Dominick Hackett also mentions the play 'General John Regan' is going well in the theatre and he also mentions "the Volunteers seem to be going ahead even if it is a little late in the day". Arthur Griffith is mentioned in the letter also as he wrote the preface to 'The Jail Journal'.
