The letter is addressed to "Barry" and McGarrity advises him to look for "Father Nicholson" and "Sir Roger Casement" who is forming an Irish Brigade (as an auxiliary to the German army). McGarrity also expresses his hopes that Germany will be victorious and "free Ireland".
