O'Casey discusses an article written by McCarthy, and thanks her for the Bulletin journals, though he is somewhat critical of the editorial attitude. He also discusses religious questions, and mentions an interview Siobhán McKenna gave in Time magazine. He enlcloses an appeal (not present) from Gweedore, in Donegal, for funds to add to a governemnt grant, and he urges her to contribute something. He gives some family news at the end.
