The Governor informs Mary Childers that Robert was allowed to read "Imitation of Christ", which she sent. He also informs her that the pictures sent have not been received yet. On the same letter, Mary Childers has written a letter to Mary MacDonagh, Sister Francesca. Mary Childers explains how the book Mary MacDonagh gave her was given to Robert and the letter also mentions John MacDonagh and how Mary Childers now longs to see him. Envelope is annotated "Sister Francesca, from Mrs Childers"
