Autograph letter, signed, from Sean O'Casey to Mai McCarthy,

O'Casey tells McCarthy that the gramaphone records arrived safely, and apologises that he didn't mention it earlier, but is sure she will understand, as the omission was due to the death of his son, Niall. He gives a poignant description of Niall coming home for Christmas, and leaving in an ambulance a few days later. He mentions McCarthy's trip to Florida, and a Mr. Howe, whom he met at a dinner in New York.
