Thomas Goodwin Keohler papers,

ca. 1900-1945.

The papers of Thomas Goodwin Keohler (also Keller), a member of the Abbey Theatre's business committee between ca. 1905 and 1910. The papers mainly concern the Abbey Theatre and its breach with the National Theatre Society; Seamus O'Sullivan and the Dublin Magazine; the poets James Cousins and Padraic Fallon; and theatre writer W.J. Lawrence. Several of Keohler's own articles, poems and plays are also included.

Includes articles by Keohler entitled, "The Irish Literary Theatre", "The Irish Theatre Movement : some early memories", "A new Irish dramatic society" and some untitled works. Also includes an article entitled, "The National Theatre Company and the Abbey Theatre" by Michael Orkney ; a letter from A.E. to Keohler ; and a draft letter to W.B. Yeats from Séamas Ó Conghaile.
