In Collection: Correspondence of Elizabeth Corbet Yeats with Violet (Letty) Dickinson, circa 1911-1934.
Description:Letter in which Yeats discusses Christmas dinner with her aunt and uncle, news of her cousin Hilda and her various visitors over Christmas time. She says that she hopes to visit Dickinson and "Birdie" in the spring. She also states that she does not believe there will be another "Rising", but feels that a general strike is on the cards "unless Sinn Féin delegates are allowed to go to the Peace Conference." In her P.S., she discusses her brother, W.B. Yeats' unborn child (Anne Yeats) and states "it will anyway be a great happiness to us all - the first child in the family - & with such clever parents he ought to be something wonderful [sic]". She also describes a silk wrap which her sister Lily is embroidering for the infant.
