Letter sends news of Brighid Cronin's 1st Communion the following day; mentions Brighid's drawing of a prison cell and mentions Màire as well: "Last week, at drawing lesson, each child was to draw whatever she chose, & Brighid drew a prison cell. Our young generation will know enough about prisons anyhow! .. Tell all the boys to be sure that their comrades outside are as they always were - no matter what lies Desmond Fitzgerald & Co. disseminate .."
