II.iv.2. Letters to Charles Hamilton of Hamwood from George William Tighe, written from Italy,

1832-1834.

Letters to Hamilton are from his wife's cousin George William Tighe and are written from Pisa and Casciana, where he was a resident. Tighe's letters mostly concern financial and family matters, and refer to his own ill health, his personal finances and hopes of raising money on the Tighe estate at Rathconrath, Co. Wesmeath, the impending marriage of his daughter Catherine to a member of the Cini family, the marriage of Hamilton's son William in September 1832 and his having sent the Hamiltons books for the Hamwood library. He also refers to his own marriage to his longtime partner Margaret King, Lady Mount Cashell.
