Contains the estate and family papers of the Leslie family of Co. Monaghan, dated 1528-1992. Estate papers includes deeds, leases, rentals, legal papers, estate correspondence, documents from the Land Commission and from the Sir John Leslie Estates Company, maps and plans, financial papers, and miscellaneous documents relating to the Leslie estates of Glaslough, Pettigo and others. The Leslie family papers include correspondence, diaries and journals, writings, photographs, scrapbooks, sketchbooks, gamebooks, ephemera, legal and political papers, and miscellaneous material kept by the Leslie family.

Topics includes Irish politics, war, investment and finance plus an ecclesiastical crisis over Brede Church. Also contains letters of condolence to family members on the event of his death in 1924 and a letter from Shane Leslie relating to Frewen, dated 1955.
