Contains the estate and family papers of the Leslie family of Co. Monaghan, dated 1528-1992. Estate papers includes deeds, leases, rentals, legal papers, estate correspondence, documents from the Land Commission and from the Sir John Leslie Estates Company, maps and plans, financial papers, and miscellaneous documents relating to the Leslie estates of Glaslough, Pettigo and others. The Leslie family papers include correspondence, diaries and journals, writings, photographs, scrapbooks, sketchbooks, gamebooks, ephemera, legal and political papers, and miscellaneous material kept by the Leslie family.

Description:Constance Leslie's journal for 1896 which constitutes a response to Sir Algernon Wist's article in that year's The Nineteenth Century which aroused "a wish to supplement his article by a few postcripts from a woman's point of view". She writes "I only wish to record a few things, as far as a very fragmentary memory and no sustainedly kept journals will allow, a few of the social changes from my girlhood to the present grandmotherhood, the former as viewed by a youthful and not unobservant eye"; ca.100 pp.
