II.iii.9. Letters to Kathleen Clarke from Austin Stack, Daíl Eireann Minister for Home Affairs,

1922-1923.

Written between December 1922 and Januray 1923, Stack's letters make fleeting reference to the whereabouts of Diarmuid Lynch, a forthcoming meeting with a former editor of the 'Irish Independent' and plans to assist an unnamed individual who has been engaged in active service during the independence struggle. Attached is his circular letter outlining the Daíl's continuing support for the Sinn Feín Courts, and a reprint of Thomas D'Arcy McGee's 1844 article 'People's Law'.
