Dated 24 February 1916, Pearse's letter concerns his plans to establish a new paper "of the Revolution". He goes on to specify that early edition "should develop the spiritual side, with a proper review of current events". Manuscript annotations on verso read 'Copy of letter written to Jos. Plunkett shortly before Rising. Plan of paper outlined squashed by Tom Clarke ... on his return from Limerick'.
