Lloyd of Gloster papers,

1695-1896.

The Lloyd family became associated with Gloster upon the marriage of Trevor Lloyd to the incumbent heiress of Francis Medhop, Rose Medhop, by whom he acquired estates in Kings County and Co. Tipperary. The Medhop family originally came into the possession of the lands under a Royal Patent from King Charles I. After the English Restoration, further lands were assigned to Trevor Lloyd in 1666.
