Description:Milligan writes about her day in Dublin Castle with Áine Ceannt and Kathleen Clarke, including the numerous friends and acquaintances she met on the day. She recounts her meeting with Alfie Byrne: "I at once put out my hand recalling the fact that I met him long before he was Lord Mayor at court martials. Alas I read the next day that he was in against Mrs Tom Clarke for the Mayoralty. I'd like to slap him now."
