| Notes: | Index page and Advertisement page precede the first watercolour in the sketchbook. Inscribed in ink on inside of front cover upper left: Sawyer 1937 £36 Sketchbook with brown vellum cover with clasp (broken). Name "Gabriel Beringer" embossed in gold on red leather label on cover. Underneath label is the inscription "Gl. Beranger" etched into the velum. This volume was bequeathed by Gabriel Beranger to a Mrs Walker, a niece of his second wife.
